OUR NEW WEBSITE ADDRESS:

www.fmb1919.bank

In the bank’s coordinated re-launch of its website in June 2019, Farmers and Merchants Bank has further enhanced its digital security and protection of our bank customers and business partners.  The transition of our current digital website to its new domain registry and secure banking platform has begun, migrating to  our new web address, known as fmb1919.bank.  In visiting the bank’s website in the future, the former www.fmb1919.com will be replaced in your device’s browser window located in the upper URL web address bar as www.fmb1919.bank.

WHY ARE WE MAKING THIS CHANGE?

.BANK is a trusted, verified, more secure, and easily-identifiable location on the Internet for U.S. bank institutions, such as Farmers and Merchants Bank.  Only banks, bank trade associations, bank regulators, and approved bank service providers are eligible for a .BANK domain.  Domain registrars like EnCirca, and Symantec, add a layer of trust to .BANK by verifying the eligibility of companies requesting bank domains.

WHAT BENEFIT DOES THIS PROVIDE YOU?

When you access our .BANK domain, you have the peace of mind to be assured you are visiting our legitimate bank website on a secure connection.  Cyber criminals will be unable to duplicate our website on a similar .BANK domain, keeping our website more secure for internet banking services.

WHY HAVEN’T OTHER BANKS STARTED USING A .BANK?

The security of our bank customers’ information is a priority for Farmers and Merchants Bank.  Just as the bank invests in security systems and vaults at our branch locations, we are committed to the same investment in our digital security channels.  Farmers and Merchants Bank is committed to being a leading bank provider, utilizing new technologies to protect your personal information at all times.  Other area banks will soon be adopting their own .BANK domains for this initiative that was instituted in June 2015 by the American Bankers Association (ABA).
