Our History

From the beginning, Farmers and Merchants Bank has remained locally owned, operated and headquartered in Upperco, MD. A public banking institution founded in 1919, our independence has allowed us to provide customers with a team of local bank professionals that care deeply about our customers and their personal and business success. We currently operate six traditional branches to serve our local community - Upperco, Hampstead, Greenmount, Reisterstown, Owings Mills and Westminster.

As you cruise through our site you will see a wealth of information about our vast array of deposit and loan products along with a number of helpful financial calculators.  Please take advantage of 24/7 banking convenience by enrolling in our on-line banking product. This system has now been expanded to offer mobile banking and electronic statement delivery (e-statements).
